Laura McCluskey

Laura is a writer, producer, and filmmaker based in Naarm/Melbourne, and has acted across stage and screen in Australian and US projects. After founding Three Fates Theatre Company in 2019, she was part of the development of their first two original productions, Land and Analog, and was a lead in Independence, Land, and Gundog. .

In 2023 Laura co-founded Sibylline Films, a company focused on telling original female-led stories. She wrote, produced, and starred in its debut short film It Comes In Waves, and has several exciting projects in development.

Additionally, Laura is the author of the bestselling crime novel The Wolf Tree (2025), which has been published in Australia (HarperCollinsAUNZ), the United Kingdom (HarperCollinsUK/Hemlock Press) and the United States (Penguin Random House/Putnam Books), and is to be released in Germany, France, and Estonia across 2025 and 2026. Her second novel will be published in AUS/UK/US in 2026.
